6 Year update:
Still alive. Not doing much art honestly, though I am playing with a few crafts and creative hobbies.
In the spirit of health related journals, took a spring to the eye four days ago. Literally. A massive spring. At high speed. To my eyeball. My disassembly jig for my air-rifle was... lacking. I can see just fine, no apparent damage, just feels a bit sore. Lesson learned: Wear your god damned safety goggles, no exceptions, cause the one time you neglect to shit happens. I may post a picture of the offending piece of metal later.

I'm not deaf...

...I'm just dumb :P . Well, went in to have my hearing tested this morning. Friends and family have expressed concern that I my have some sort of hearing impairment due to a number of reasons, so I decided to check it. Well, the test in the little sound-proof room only took about 15 minutes, but waiting in the lounge and patients rooms took about 2 hours... I hate going to doctors. Test results said I was in the normal hearing range, with no noticeable impairments, though my left ear isn't as good as my right. So, yeah. I'm not deaf, I'm just tuning yall out. :D

FINALLY being able to get a huge splinter out of your scalp! I know, this may be the wierdest journal I've ever posted, but damn it feels GOOD to get the thing out of my head. To anyone who lives in the southwest, Yucca+Weedeater= flying spines of pain and doom. You know, working at the university's vineyard, it's really kinda pathetic that with all the dangerous stuff we have out there a friggin yucca spine is what injures me the worst. But it's out of my head! :D
